Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Roy Digital App Studio ("Roy Digital", "we", "us") collects when you use roydigital.in and our app-building service, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. Roy Digital is the data controller for the information described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us.

• Contact and account details: your name, phone number, email address, business or brand name, preferred language, and the customer type you select at onboarding.
• Your project brief: your app idea, the features you choose, reference links or screenshots, and any notes you send us.
• Brand and content you upload: logo, colours, fonts, images, text, and any other material you give us to build your app.
• Messages, feedback and bug reports you send to our team, and documents you accept or e-sign.

Login information. We use Firebase Authentication. You can sign in with Google, with your phone number via a one-time password (OTP), or with an email address. We receive your phone number or email and a user ID. We never receive your Google password.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or netbanking credentials — those go directly to Razorpay. We store the order and payment reference IDs, the amount, currency, payment status, and the billing details needed to issue your invoice.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and timestamps, using Google Analytics and Firebase. We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

2. Why we use your information

• To provide the service — to design, build, test and launch your app and to show you live progress in your dashboard.
• To authenticate you and keep your project private to you and our team.
• To communicate with you about your project, by in-app notification, email and WhatsApp.
• To take payments, issue invoices and charge GST where applicable.
• To provide support and answer your questions.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising. We share it only with the providers we need in order to run the service:

• Google Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication, database, file storage, hosting and cloud functions. Our cloud functions run in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region.
• Razorpay — to process payments and refunds.
• Email and WhatsApp providers — to send you project updates you have asked for.
• Google Play and the Apple App Store — when, with your instruction, we submit your app on your behalf. What is published is governed by their policies.
• Professional advisors and authorities — where we are required to do so by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

4. Where your information is stored

We use Google Cloud infrastructure and prefer Indian regions (asia-south1, Mumbai) for our cloud functions. Some Google and Razorpay services may process or back up data in other countries. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place under their own data protection commitments.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and project information for as long as your account is active or your project is running, and afterwards for as long as we need it to support you, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Invoices and financial records are retained for the period required by Indian tax and accounting law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — we will do so except where we are legally required to keep it.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• correct information that is wrong or out of date;
• delete your information, subject to the legal retention above;
• withdraw a consent you previously gave (for example, WhatsApp updates); and
• stop using your information for a particular purpose.

Email roy@roydigital.in from your registered email address and we will respond within 30 days.

7. How we protect your information

The site and dashboard are served over HTTPS. Access is protected by Firebase Authentication, and our database rules are written so that a customer can read and write only their own project — your brief, files, builds and messages are not visible to other customers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these safeguards seriously.

8. Children

Our service is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences, and analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the dashboard may then stop working.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and where the change is significant we will tell you by email or in the dashboard.

11. Grievances

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, contact Hrishikesh Roy at roy@roydigital.in. We aim to acknowledge every grievance promptly and resolve it within 30 days.
