Refund & Cancellation Policy

We would rather be clear up front than argue later. This policy explains exactly when you get your money back, when you do not, and how to ask. It applies to app-building packages and to care plan subscriptions bought from Roy Digital App Studio.
1. Your deposit is protected until you approve the design
If you cancel your project before you approve your design, we refund your deposit in full. You do not have to give a reason. This is our milestone money-back promise: you get to see real mockups of your app before your money is committed.
2. After you approve the design
Once you approve your design, the design work has been delivered and your deposit is no longer refundable. If you cancel after this point, you do not owe us the remaining balance, and we will hand over the design work you paid for.
3. After the final payment
Once your final milestone payment is made and your app is built, the fees are non-refundable — at that point the work is complete and ownership of the app, the source or project files and the store assets transfers to you.
4. If we are late — on-time or credit
We commit to a launch date in your proposal. If we miss it for reasons within our control, you get one month of our Care plan free for every full week of delay, up to a maximum of three months. If you are already on a care plan, we add those free months to it. If you are not on one, we start a Care plan for you at no charge.
This does not apply to delays outside our control. The most common ones are: time spent waiting on your approvals, content, brand assets or store credentials; change requests you asked for; and the time Google Play or the Apple App Store take to review your app. Your dashboard always shows whose move it is, so you can see exactly where the time went.
5. If a store rejects your app
An app store rejection is not by itself a refund event. If your app is rejected for something within our control, we fix it and resubmit at no extra cost as part of your package. If it is rejected because of your content, your business category or your developer account, we will tell you what the store requires and quote any work needed to meet it.
6. Care plans (monthly subscriptions)
- You can cancel a care plan at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.
- Cancellation stops the next billing cycle. The month you have already paid for runs to the end of its term.
- We do not give partial refunds for an unused part of a month.
- If we charged you after you cancelled, tell us and we will refund that charge in full.
7. What is never refundable
- Third-party fees we paid on your behalf — for example the Google Play Console registration fee or the Apple Developer Program fee.
- Add-ons and change requests that have already been delivered.
- Work that has been completed and approved by you.
8. How to ask for a refund
Email roy@roydigital.in from the email address registered to your account, with your project name and what you would like to happen. We will acknowledge it within 3 working days and tell you our decision, with reasons.
Approved refunds are sent back through Razorpay to the original payment method. Once we issue the refund, it typically reaches you within 5–7 working days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
9. Chargebacks
Please talk to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. We would much rather fix the problem directly, and almost always can.
10. Changes to this policy
The version of this policy published at the time you pay your deposit is the version that applies to that project.
